Based on my academic experiences, I believe that having a respectful learning environment, helping students to develop critical and creative thinking abilities, and involving active learning methodologies, helps in enhancing the learning process for both students and instructors.
Field(s) of expertise/interest:
My research interests are in the areas of network science and applied machine learning techniques. Specifically, I am interested in modeling how rumor/fake news/opinion spread among individuals in a social network.
Hobbies/interests:
I love taking long walks with my dog and my husband, reading, cooking, and traveling in general.
