Thoughts on teaching:
I’m interested in cultivating learning environments that defer fixed outcomes or known solutions and instead explore problems, detours, and not knowing as arenas for creative and personal transformation.

Field(s) of expertise/interest:
Still and moving image, sculpture, sound — using these mediums against and through one another to provoke fraught dynamics between representation, perception, and the production of a discernible subject. This plays out in my studio through the use of over- and under-exposure, low-resolutions, opaque figuration, dark pools of liquid or light, low vibrations, and skewed reflections.

Hobbies/interests: Mirrors, edges, bay windows, heavy bass, reading, the beach
