What are your thoughts on teaching?
My pedagogy is rooted in a belief that students bring their own unique areas of expertise to the learning process, knowledge they can activate to become savvier communicators and consumers of media culture, both in the classroom and in their daily lives.
Tell us about your field of expertise.
I study celebrity culture, mediated gossip, and gendered representation, with a focus on politics and everyday life.
What hobbies/interests do you enjoy outside of academia?
I enjoy jigsaw puzzles and adventures with my dog, Gizmo.
