Thoughts on teaching:
My approach to teaching centers on fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment where students and I learn and grow together. I encourage them to think critically, creatively, and openly, while appreciating diverse perspectives. My goal is to empower students to take ownership of their learning within a supportive and secure space, and I find great joy in guiding them through this journey. Recognizing each student’s individuality, I work to ensure that everyone feels valued and supported. Teaching, for me, is a two-way process, and I cherish the insights I gain from my students just as much as the knowledge I share with them.
Field(s) of expertise/interest:
My research focus is on understanding and enhancing operations within humanitarian and crisis contexts. Driven by a vision to foster more effective, efficient, and equitable outcomes in challenging environments, I employ a blend of optimization techniques — both exact and heuristic — together with data-driven methods to solve complex problems in operations management, particularly within the service and non-profit sectors.
Hobbies/interests:
Outside of academia, I enjoy dancing, practicing yoga, and expressing creativity through painting. I also love diving into a good book whenever I can.
