Travel funding may also be included in budget requests for the following funding opportunities: Committee to Aid Faculty Research, Just-in-Time Scholarly Activity, Mentoring Mini-Grants, Leadership Development.
When travel costs exceed the annual Office of Academic Affairs faculty travel funding allocation, faculty are encouraged to seek support from the following, which may have their own criteria and requirements: department, program, school dean, Center for Teaching Excellence, Center for Engaged Learning, discretionary fund, internal or external grants, and the Provost’s Contingency Travel Fund.
- The travel request and approval process is electronic and can be accessed using this link.
- Detailed instructions for the online application submission can be found here.
- Within two weeks of completion of travel, faculty members must submit a travel expense report.
