Thoughts on teaching:
Physics and astronomy are really fascinating subjects, and I am grateful that I have the opportunity to share that with the students at PC. My goals in the classroom are two-fold: (1) to spark genuine and life-long interest in the material, and (2) to create a positive environment where students can realize that they are capable of learning, of doing, and of success in our class — no matter their prior exposure to STEM. I believe that the best way to accomplish both of these is to get students talking with one another and engaging with the subject in community.

Field(s) of expertise/interest:
I study the evolution of galaxies and their resident supermassive black holes in the early universe. I approach this topic from both an observational and theoretical perspective, and part of my interests lie in the bridge of those domains.

Hobbies/interests:
I love spending time with my family, playing chess and golf, and getting outdoors across our beautiful state.
